Founded on unparalleled service and high quality products, LDR Global Industries is looking to for an exceptionally talented and results-oriented Sr. Purchasing Analyst to join our purchasing department. This position is key in maintaining and managing Company stock levels including forecasting and placing purchase orders, prioritizing and expediting deliveries, maintaining vendor data, and problem resolution for quality issues. This position will provide communication to other departments regarding delivery and quality resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and maintaining relationships with outside vendors and/or suppliers, making purchasing decisions, and managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. In this leadership role as an International Purchasing Agent, this individual will coordinate and expedite product inventory and the procurement of components to ensure manufacturing requirements. This is a highly visible role with opportunity for professional development and success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create, submit and expedite purchase orders.
  • Check for accuracy and completeness.
  • Build strong rapport with suppliers and vendors. 
  • Communicate across multiple departments within the organization to resolve delivery or quality control issues. 
  • Place product orders and schedule inventory or production with suppliers to meet demand and forecasting needs of manufacturing.
  • Procurement of materials and components from domestic and offshore sources. 
  • Working with our production department, plan material needs to support the demands of manufacturing.
  • Provide vendor reports and analysis of performance based measures.
  • Provide suggestions to department management for process improvements in order to continue superior levels of service and quality.
  • Place purchase orders, expedite purchase orders and maintain delivery dates.
  • Send out quotes to suppliers for pricing and quote analysis to determine best supplier selection.
  • Collection of documents from suppliers both domestic and overseas.
  • Coordinate inventory deliveries w/sales team to ensure exceeding customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, production, finance and project management to solve issues. 
  • Must have experience with various cost and price analysis techniques.
  • Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information.
  • Report analysis such as overstocks and stock outs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Action-oriented, problem-solving self-starter who goes above and beyond to solve delivery and quality concerns.
  • Five (5) years purchasing experience; experience purchasing from vendors in China is critical.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented along with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with vendors and other employees is essential to accomplish goals and objectives of the department. 
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Product Engineering and/or manufacturing background is a plus. 
  • Experience in Thrive inventory forecasting software is a plus.
